These human figures are details enlarged from Edwardian travel postcards. They have few individual features but a century ago they were real people as they passed into view at the moment of the cameras exposure.
Their tiny scale in the postcards, combined with the printers dots, abstracts their shape and reduces their individuality. Scaled up in the exhibition prints the figures are beginning to dissolve into anonymity and formlessness.
